What's Included
Glazed creosote is a hardened, tar-like fuel that can ignite at 451°F. Standard brushing won't touch it. We use PCR (Poultice Creosote Remover) and industrial rotary tools to break down and extract even the worst deposits.
- PCR chemical treatment (typically 2–3 applications)
- Industrial rotary chain and flail systems
- Post-treatment camera verification
- Prevents Class B chimney fires
- Recommended before every heating season for heavy burners
Our Process
- Step 1
Assess
Camera scan grades creosote from Stage 1 to Stage 3.
- Step 2
Treat
PCR applied and left to convert the glaze to brushable ash.
- Step 3
Remove
Rotary tools extract the residue; camera confirms clean flue.
Frequently Asked Questions
It looks like shiny black tar coating the flue and often smells strong when the fire is out. If a normal sweep didn't help draft, glazing is the likely cause.
