What happens after you hit send

  1. Step 1

We read the details, not a template

A technician, not an auto-responder, reads what you wrote about the appliance, the symptoms, and the age of the house. That is what decides whether you need a sweep, a Level 2 inspection, or a repair quote.

  2. Step 2

You get a written price or a short question

Most enquiries come back as a firm number. If something is ambiguous, we ask one or two questions rather than padding the price to cover the unknown.

  3. Step 3

    You pick an arrival window

We book in windows because chimney jobs are unpredictable. Late summer and early autumn fill first; January and February usually have next-week availability.

  4. Step 4

Photo report lands in your inbox

Every visit ends with photographs, the creosote grade, and a plain-language note on what needs doing now versus what can wait a season.

Quote questions, answered

Requests submitted during business hours are answered the same day, and everything else within 24 hours by email or text. Straightforward jobs, a standard sweep and Level 1 inspection on a single open fireplace, usually come back as a firm price immediately. Relining, crown rebuilds, and masonry work need a look at the structure first, so those come back as a range plus a visit slot.
Your ZIP code, what the appliance is (open masonry fireplace, insert, wood stove, gas log set, oil or gas furnace flue), roughly when it was last serviced, and whether you have noticed smoke spillage, odour, staining, or a draft problem. Photos of the fireplace opening and the chimney from the yard are genuinely useful and often let us skip a step.
The written quote is what you pay for the work described. If we open the system and find something that was not in the description, a hidden second flue, Stage 3 glazed creosote, a cracked liner tile, we stop, show you, and give a revised price before continuing. Nothing gets added to the invoice that you did not approve on site.
No. Quotes are free and carry no obligation. If you get a second opinion and go elsewhere, that is a normal part of hiring a contractor for chimney work.
Yes. New Jersey is where our own crews work, and requests from elsewhere in the country are routed to a vetted local chimney contractor licensed in your state. You will be told which company is attending before anything is booked.
Say so in the notes and we will quote a Level 2 inspection with the written report that NJ real-estate attorneys and buyers expect, including flue camera imagery. These are time-sensitive, so flag your closing date and we will prioritise the slot.

Not sure what to ask for?

Pick the closest service and we will correct it if the symptoms point somewhere else. Ballpark figures for each are on the cost guides.
